Note: People have made a comment that after reading this paper they decided to not get into web ecommerce. This paper handles the most complex aspects of ecommerce. One may not wish to implement all of these features.

Do consider the simple and direct solution of listing your products and prices without a shopping cart program, and have customers use your existing ordering method, phone, fax, or mail.

Then over time, as web sales justify, and will pay for, enhance the site with better features over several releases.
